WE OUTSIDE

Created as an embodiment of my more than a decade neo-animist creative practice and as a healing offering through textile.
“We Outside” is a call to action, a deliberate remembrance. A celebration of blackness, black memory preservation through AAVE, indigeneity, and land intimacies.
Oneness alleviates suffering. A radical animist realization that all is alive and living around us: nature, spirit, emotion means we know we are not alone. We know that relations will carry us into and through our power. We know that connection is the antidote to anxiety and despair. This is re-pair work. We are not broken, we are not discouraged, we are not hiding, —We Outside!!!
